May Blaiz

I am first a lover to life.  In gratitude, I serve as a health and fitness writer, personal trainer and life style coach. 

Completing my degree in Nursing, I worked for various health organizations, research centres and education services offering them up to date knowledge on factors that impact community health.  Although I enjoy the wide range of learning experiences  in collecting and communicating health information, I wanted to get out of the 9 to 5 and do more to service people directly.

I moved back to my hometown Winnipeg from Vancouver to begin the process of creating a lifestyle wellness studio offering health education, personal training, massage therapy and life style coaching services.

I believe that to be a true health and fitness role model, you have to "walk the talk".  That means learning and applying what you know about health into your own daily practices and routines.  I love strength training 3x/week; participating in Bikram's hot yoga at least weekly to destress and cleanse my mind and incorporate cardio activity outdoors as much as I can. 

Daily rituals include journalling, drinking 2L of water to stay hydrated and reminding myself not take life so seriously.... Smile. Laugh. Love. Learn.  Share.
